Custom Designing is
easy.... The
Voyagers
have been
designing and making jewelry since 1973. The process
to
make a piece of jewelry is really straight forward and enjoyable.
We work with you through each step…
From picking a stone, to the wax
model, and to the final piece. 
Just a
few easy steps...
to design and make a piece of
jewelry:
1. A stone or a design is chosen. At the Voyagers, we suggest selecting a stone first, then designing your jewelry.
2. Drawings are then made from which to choose.
3. A hand-carved wax model is made of the ring,
after the
design/drawing is selected.. This
step brings you from a 2-dimensional to 3-dimensional piece.
We ask that you come in to approve the wax. The waxes can be a variety of
different colors; pink, red, blue, green etc.… , thus you do need a little bit
of imagination at this point. However,
the wax model is exactly what the final piece will be.

Once
the wax is approved, the ring is then cast.
It takes approximately 8 hours for the wax to burn out; then the molten
gold, platinum or sterling silver is poured into its place.
5. Next, the rough casting is cleaned and polished. Then the stones are set into the ring.
6.
After
the last step of a final polishing and another cleaning, your very special custom-made
piece of jewelry is ready.
